In the name of Simontornya, which is a beautiful and charming little town in Tolna county, as mayoress it is my pleasure to welcome all the dear readers of the internet and the inhabitants and their descendants of Tolna county and Simontornya!
For me and for the people who were born and grown up here, Simontornya is our line of country in our motherland. I would like to spend my whole life here as a good inhabitant, to give the inhabitants a hand up to my strenght, talent and vow as mayoress. With my work I would like to augment the common wealth of Simontornya, the ancient market town, the former county seat, the beautiful little town, like generations did before me with their hard work. I want to enhance the fame and name of Simontornya, and I want to make this town more liveable for the inhabitants. I hope Simontornya will be a habitation that could offer job opportunities to the people who live or will live here in the future.
It is very important for me that the readers of this website come to know the treasures of the town’s beautiful natural and urban environment, and the hospitable inhabitants of Simontornya.
Our town has a historical past. According to this and the things we achieved we obtained the „town” title whereof we are very proud. I hope that many hearts beated with proud at that time. That was an acknowledgement of the inhabitants’ skills and hard work, too.
Simontornya is a little town where everybody knows each other, where birth is a common joy and death is mourning.
I wish to our dear readers that they could visit our town in person, to find themselves cultural, amusement, leisure, sport and recreation opportunities.
